8 Superfoods for Healthy and shiny Hair
Today our eating habits and living routines are changing so rapidly in that manner one wrong step directly affects our body and hair too. It is not important what you are applying on your hairs the most important thing is what you feed them. As you have seen there are tons of hair products now in the market but did you ever thought once that is safe? Is my hair only needs those products not internal nutrients? I know most people don’t think about it. Our hairs are living organism so they need proper and healthy nutrients in the right quantity to maintain their shine and bounce. You can’t get glowing skin and healthy hair in any products and makeup kits. Today I will tell you some of my favorite foods that bring back your healthier and shiner hairs.
- Vegetables
Consume a full bowl daily which consists of green vegetables but add mostly spinach, tomatoes, carrots, broccoli and Swiss chard because they are a good source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, iron and calcium. A dark green vegetable provides those vitamins and minerals which help to maintain shine and softness of our hair.
- Red Meat and Poultry
Now a days many women’s faces hair problems like hair loss and less hair growth. This is all because of Iron deficiency. You know one thing iron deficiency also cause baldness, brittle hair and premature graying. So try to include at least one daily serving of red meat or chicken because they provide us iron and protein. Other iron and protein foods are turkey, egg yolk, nuts, Mollusks, whole grains, liver and beans.
- Fruits
Fruits are a great source of Vitamin C, minerals and many more. Less intake of Vitamin C makes our hair weak and dry. I know we don’t want that so try to include fresh fruits like berries, kiwi, banana, citrus fruits, strawberries and many more.
- Whole Grains
Include whole grain bread or cereals in your breakfast to load your body with zinc, iron and vitamin B complex. These help to provide us stronger hair.
- Dry fruits and nuts
Do you love dry fruits and nuts? If yes then you are not alone in this world me to love it so much. Walnuts, almonds, cashews and Brazil nuts provide us selenium which is an important mineral for our scalp. None other than these nuts are a great source of iron, omega 3 fatty acids, vitamin E and zinc. These are not only beneficial for our hairs but also give us brighter eyes and strong bones.
- Beans and Lentils
Here is good news for vegetarians. Beans, lentils, pulses and more are a great source of protein so make it a special part of your daily diet. Not only protein they also provide us iron, zinc and biotin. A deficiency of biotin and zinc cause hair shedding.
- Fish
If you search for one food that give you maximum results in no time then don’t forget to add fish especially salmon in your diet. Fish is a great source of omega 3 fatty acids, protein, iron, Vitamin B and zinc. “Essential omega-3 fatty acids are needed to support scalp health,” says dietician Andrea Giancoli. Deficiency of omega 3 leads to dry hair and dry scalp. It’s very important to know that our body doesn’t produce omega 3 fatty acids by itself so you have to take it with foods.
- Eggs
If you read my Dry hair and dry scalp post you know that how eggs help me to get rid of this problem. Eggs are great source of biotin and high quality protein. I love to start my day with one or two boiled eggs because they help me to maintain my healthier hair all the seasons.
